Leander class frigate - Ikara conversion.
Departing King George Dock, Hull, on the 28^th July 1986.

Launched 23/5/63, commissioned 25/4/64.
Built by Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson, River Tyne.

This was the last departure of the "Galatea" from Hull before decommissioning. At the mast
is flying the standard of the Admiral of the Humber, a title bestowed on the Lord Mayor of Hull,
who was onboard for her passage down the Humber to sea.

Type 23 frigate.

Launched 2/3/91. Commissioned 20/5/93.
Built by Yarrow Shipbuilders Ltd., Scotstoun, Glasgow.
